I find it difficult to be telephoned by a GP when I am at work (embarrassing to discuss health in front of colleagues) or when driving. The change to the triage system (even after Covid) and the necessity to justify the request to make a face to face appointment is particularly hard for the elderly and those hard of hearing. Older patients may be unable to use Zoom or similar and direct contact with their GP is often necessary to both their physical and mental health.
-> Walk in facility is great not having to make an appointment fantastic.
-> All the GP's are as good as the other so it does not matter who you see.
-> ADV will always return a telephone inquiry.
My GP was concerned about my problem and immediately sought a 2nd opinion from another doctor. He kept me informed at all times, and gave me ongoing explanations.
The doctors are great but the waiting time is unacceptable.
2 1/2 hours to see a GP is really not a good way to run a GP practice.
At busy times like Mondays and after school holidays there needs to be more GPs available or the practice needs to close its books!
Everyone at the surgery is so helpful and Dr Satori very helpful and always has time and empathy.
